Isn't it possible to completely turn off whatsapp in nokia c3-01?Because when i close it it still runs in the background and it uses battery what is not needed of course!
Btw: is there a way to look to which programs runs in the background in nokia c3-01?
Solved! Go to Solution.
haven't tried whatsapp, but in other apps its sometimes more "hidden" the options menu to really close it and not just hide it to background which seems to be the "default" behaviour.
there is no task switcher UI in S40. however when you are running low on memory and try to start an java app the phone sometimes shows list of applications running in background and you can choose which ones to close in order to free anough memory so that the app you try to launch would work.

Welcome to the Nokia forum.
Whatsapp is an application that will constantly run in the background and is therefore always connected to the internet and will use up battery. This is stated in the Terms and Conditions when you download the application. The only way to prevent the app from connecting, is to uninstall the application completely.
On the the C3-01 it's not possible to check what applications are running on the device.
Hope this clears things up.
You can un-install an application by going to Menu-->Settings-->Application Manager-->Installed Applications ... Then highlight the application you want to remove...Options-->Un-install ..
Other way to do that is under Menu.. go to the screen where the Application icon is visible -->Options-->Organise-->...Highlight the Icon ...Options-->Remove.
Note that the applications which are embedded within the Firmware will not be possible to un-install ...
