MicroSD and MicroSDHC

Dear all,

1) What is the difference between microsd and microsdhc?

2) Are both compatible with nokia 5230?

2) Whether Nokia 5230 slows down due to 16gb card? If so What is the optimum size can be used with 5230?

Thanks

Re: MicroSD and MicroSDHC

Hi karth,

The ONLY difference between SD & SDHC is the storage capacity (the "HC" standing for "High Capacity"). Up to 3GB is SD, 4GB & higher is SDHC. The Nokia 5230 is comptible with MicroSDHC cards, so from 4GB up to 16GB.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

haZey

Re: MicroSD and MicroSDHC

You're welcome,

The speed depends on the class of the memory card. The actual size shouldn't matter too much in terms of slowing down the 5230.

Make sure that you save your media, messages and applications on to your mass memory and leave as much memory free on the phone memory too.

Hope this helps karth!

Re: MicroSD and MicroSDHC

ok.
IF that is the case, what class would you recommend for 5230, 16GB microsdhc among the following:
1) Class4
2)Class6
3) Class10

Re: MicroSD and MicroSDHC

Class 4 or Class 6 should be fine.. No need to go for a much expensive Class 10 MC since it will not give you the added advantage of Speed because of the Phone's limitations..
