Every time I switch on my brand new Nokia N73, it plays the last five notes of possibly the most irritating piece of music in the world. I just rang Orange (my service providers) and they told me that it was impossible to switch off this (un)welcome melody.
I can't quite believe it. Anyone out there know how to override it somehow? It was always possible to switch it off on my older Nokia phones.
You can't turn it off like you could on older Nokia handsets. However, you'll be pleased to know that you can get rid of it! Change 'warning tones' to OFF. OK you'll lose the low battery audible warning but it's a small price to pay. Alternatively, when you boot the phone and the Nokia tone starts if you press the red 'call hang up' button, the tune will cut off and this won't affect your phone turning on.
