The 3.5mm port was in normal use and only two times. My Carepoint said the motherboard is broken by undue force. But I handled my N8 with care always.
I'm quite sure it was build in defect.
Did anybody know how to contact a higher support level?
And are there more users who had this problem?
Thanks in advance.
I do not agree with your opinion. It was the first time I pluged the headset into the port and it didn't work. Normally to destroy a mainboard in this way you must handle the plug with extreme force.
Perhaps this port worked during the factory testing. In my opinion it is a material defect...
But to deal with Nokia Care is like an infinite loop and it is impossible to get a higer level of ecalation.
So I think I have to escalate and bring the case to court.
Yes we can.
Another technician took a look to the photo.
The rusult is. This is a built in issue and never caused by physical damage by normal use.
the 3.5 mm port is flush mount to the inside of the housing cover. (red arrows)
the base case has a small support nib for the mainboard. (yellow arrows)
directly to this support nib the board is broken. (green circle)
this is a 100% manufacturing fault he said.
Normally these demages are caused by mixing boards and cases of diffrent revision. For example two diffrent mainboard revisions and case revisions.
And he said no doubt, it is possible to pass the tests and after a while of using the cunducting path will break....
