Got really frustrated when my 603 started misbehaving in tha way,did the (menu>settings>connectivity>USB), connect phone to PC via USB when shut down, turn off the phone plugged it in to the computer and turn the phone back on, as soon as it registers on the computer, right click on the phone drive and eject it.
walaaaa it works!!!thanx guys..
Thanks, Solved the same issue with my N8, connected via mass storage mode, no joy, removed battery, connected USB on the Go flash drive, accessed a file, disconnected USB on the go drive (remove USB option from phone), connected to PC (when phone was switched off), phone started charging via usb to PC, switched on Phone, Drivers installed automatically when changed mode to "Nokia Suite" once phone switched on. Thanks again guys....
unfortunatly i cancelled all the nokia files, but trying to reinstall 3.7.22 I'm notified by "the older version of Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver cannot be removed
I can i make it work? I mean how can I remove it to reintall?
This worked for me:
1) Connect USB Cable to Apple OS X laptop
2) Connect USB cable to Nokia N808
3) in OS X Finder, Eject as many "drives" as you see listed (in my case, that's two: the internal mass storage and the M2 memory card)
4) WAIT for each of the drives to disappear from the Finder Devices segment.
5) I mean it! WAIT until they ALL disappear...
6) Now unplug the USB cable from the phone and it will be OK (or at least, it was for me).
If you have Windoze substitute "Explorer" for Finder and "Safely Eject" for Eject.
thank you to show me solving issue...
The problem started for me on my 700 when using a CA 100C USB charger and a CA 157 OTG and pen drive, I tried everything to resolve this irritating annoyance, re-install, hard reset, cleaning the contacts etc.
I'd basically given up on the phone, so decided to use the CA 157 to transfer all my files from phone to pen drive as I couldnt connect to PC via USB.
The battery was low, so I shoved the CA 100C in to charge whilst transfering files (via the CA 157) and hey presto the annoyance is gone and the phone works normally again!
It seems the problem was caused for me by charging via the CA 100C whilst using OTG.
Hope this helps...
