I have a problem with my N95. During update with a usbcable nad nokia pc suite the cable is disconnected.
Now my phone will not boot anymore. It does says "nokia"but the backlight is not on.
Is there a method that can hard reset or reformat the device?

It all depends upon the timing of lost connection whether it was stage at writing new software or before this started.
Following advice in previous post it really depends upon whether USB connectivity of device is recognised or not, in which case Nokia Care facility has the tools to utilise internal Fbus connector under battery to re-install device software.
