I got my Nokia X6 on a two year contract a while back and all was going well until about 8 months in when my phone battery died while on the internet displaying the message " battery empty recharge". When i came to plug in the charger and try to turn it on I got no response. After leaving it on charge all night to see if that was the problem I still got no response and sent it away to my service provider to be checked. They sent it back saying it was water damaged and there was nothing they can do. (which I dispute) I placed it in a drawer to wait for my contract to expire to get it replaced.
I came across it two days ago in the drawer (about 9-10 months later) and thought i'd give it a try and to my suprise it came straight on and was using it with no problems. The battery died and it charged straight away, no problem. Until once again, while using the internet my battery emptied and it displayed the same message as before. When trying to recharge after this I got no response again. I've been trying to get it to charge since yesterday afternoon with no results.
Has anybody else had this problem? And is there a way to fix it? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Hi Allentheos, Welcome to the Nokia Forum!
You may need to order a new battery as batteries have a life of roughly 2 years depending on use.
It sounds as if your battery is nearing the end of its life, but I suggest taking your phone to a Nokia Care point to have an expert take a look at it, and they can pinpoint the problem, and sort you out with a new battery if required.
I hope this helps and that you get your phone up and running again soon!
