Hi serpant

You have to be using a business email address to register since about July 7 2007. Registrations from members of the public are no longer accepted unfortunately.

Did you actually open the application on your phone. I know for a while I thought it didn't work on my phone (N95). Then I remembered I hadn't actually opened the application. Stupid I know but we all make mistakes.

I opened it, Then i pressed options, then Landscape.
Nothing happens, tried it again and again and even selected portrait.

RotateMe V2.0 (1) beta (self signed) on N95 original RM159
Not that impressed myself
may be cos its the beta
It does not work when key pad is locked I have auto keylock on
and it does not work when screen saver is on
for me I have to open slide before the screen turns and it only works anticlockwise? I thought you would be able to rotate either way or even invert phone
You can get the same effect nearly by pressing slide "down" for media the pressing red end key your display is then in landscape mode
I have been using this method for my ttnav application to get it wide screen
For me it is just as many operations as to open slide then rotate phone
I posted similar comment in thread "There's a hidden accelerometer in the N95"

Re: Rotateme signed version application

Hi Nick, this step is very confusing. It got me too but eventually I got it having asked in here.

Anyway, first of all make sure you did step 10 correctly.
You should have gotten a file in your email from the writer of the software. Make sure you put it in the new folder created in step 10 along with all the other files. In step 10 in the procedure this file is called FExplorer.sis BUT you probably got a file in email called RotateMe_2_0_beta1_unsigned.SIS or similar. This is the "FExplorer.SIS" that is mentioned in step 10 in procedure. There is no need to change its name. Just put it in the folder created along with the other files.

Next....open Notepad....Using notepad open the file called auto_signsis.bat. You will see the line "signsis FExplorer.sis FExplorer_signed.sis xxxxxx.cer sultan.key 0123456" in there.

So in this line in notepad change the "FExplorer.sis" to the name of the file you got in your email.... probably
RotateMe_2_0_beta1_unsigned.SIS....
Change the "FExplorer_signed.sis" to the same name as in the file in the email except instead of having "unsigned" in the name have "signed". So it would be RotateMe_2_0_beta1_signed.SIS.
Change the xxxxxx.cer to whatever you called the .cer file in step 4.
save auto_signsis.bat using File/save in notepad (do not use Save-As just Save).
double click on the file auto_signsis.bat This will create a new file called RotateMe_2_0_beta1_signed.SIS or similar, ie similar name to the file sent in email but signed not unsigned.

That is the file you install on your phone.

Hope that works. Let me know either way.

Good luck.

i downloaded the porg,
and works great with my N95.. did'nt know that N95 had a Hardware sensor!!

how come Nokia, did'nt add this feature!! or maybe they forgot! that i believe! :-D

when u run the program.., after that u press the cancel button(red button) and leave it runing in the background, that way when i tilt u'er phone the screen moves with u..
but only moves in 2 directions! if u turn u'er phone 360, won't work, only 90 degrees, Left

Yeah, I have the same problem, and the most irritating part is that it's rejecting my university email address as well. Do you know if there are any business email accounts I could pay for online?

Re: Rotateme signed version application

Thanks for the useful information regarding editing auto_signsis.sis My problem is that NO new file is created after the double click!

My folder contains xxx.cer, rotateMe_2_0_beta1_unsigned, signsis, sultan und auto_signsis
Somewhere I make a mistake. My auto_signsis looks like this

signsis FExplorer.sis rotateMe_2_0_beta1_signed.sis duke.cer sultan.key 0123456

So I edited signed.sis and my own cer file!

It would be great if you could help me! Thanks so much!!!

Re: Rotateme signed version application

@duke111

Try removing the reference to Fexplorer.sis and replacing it with the name of the .sis file you are trying to sign ;-)
