Type *#7370# on the main screen and enter your security code when prompted. Take a back up of your data except settings before doing this reset as it will erase all of it. If it does not work you will need to reinstall the firmware.
Connect your phone to a computer & select Nokia Suite mode. If you do not have Nokia Suite on your pc you can download it from here. Now open the Nokia Suite & click on the “green icon of arrow pointing downwards”. Reinstall option is shown in ‘blue’. If no option to reinstall is shown, please wait for sometime it will become visible. Then the Nokia Suite will download the new software version of the phone. After it you will be prompted to take a complete back up of the device content. Please do not skip this step as reinstallation will erase all the personal data from the phone like contacts, messages, calendar entries etc.
Please note that if you have set a memory card password & you have forgotten its code then take a backup of the card data also as the card will be locked after update and can only be unlocked if you enter the correct code or by ways mentioned in this thread.
Also note that while updating the device ensure the following things-
Also check out this video on YouTube with instructions for update.

Availability depends on Product Code / Region. Also, for network locked devices, the update is possible only after an approval from the operator. It seems, one of these reasons is the cause for Nokia Suite to not show any availability. BTW, did you check thru' FOTA ( ..from the Update option within the phone) ? If you do not see there too..then you can't do anything but wait and keep on checking ..

I want to update the software version of my nokia x2-02 ,But I want to keep my important messages...
What should I do? Please help me.
You should not worry about your data as when done thru' Nokia Suite, you will be prompted for a back-up before the update starts.. This will include your contacts, messages, other files, settings, etc..If need arises, you may restore them after the update is over.
..as an additional safety, you may also use the SYNC function in the Nokia Suite so that all the data will get synced and you will be able to see them in the Nokia Suite. (Note that the content of the back-up file will not get displayed without using another application..)

Hi hartiw
Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia forum! ![]()
Nokia Store phone client is not working:
1. Make sure that the phone runs the latest software version.
2. Check the network quality. If the connection is poor the Store application or downloading applications may not work correctly. Try to use alternate connection types such as WLAN, 3G or GPRS/EDGE. If there is still issues with network coverage user must contact the network operator for assistance.
3. Clear the cached memory on the phone.
4. Uninstall and reinstall your Nokia Store application > Go to Nokia Store web site http://store.nokia.com and re-download the Nokia Store application.
Regarding on software update, the availability is influenced by many factors including Nokia device firmware version, country, and operator.
