Hi our darling son wants an i pod touch 8gb so he can play music and watch video's.

BUT he has a Nokia X6 16gb phone

so what is the difference between them?

Can he not watch videos on his phone?

Nokia X6 only supports video formats like mp4,wmv and mpeg4 and it can't play HD videos
while ipd touch 8gb supports majority of video formats like mp4,mov,mkv,m4v etc and also it can play HD videos of quality up to 720p
In comparison ipod touch 8gb is superior than X6 for videos playback

Yes, he can watch videos and listen to music using his X6.

The real reason why he wants an iPod Touch is probably something else (such as using music, videos or apps only available in the Apple App Store, rather than Nokia's, or because the X6 is too "lame", or the iPod Touch is "cooler", or it has a bigger/nicer display, or something).

You can, of course, ask your son to be more specific, if you wish to know.
