My X3 02 denies and reject any request to play Youtube videos!....but throuth my neighbour box (different provider of mine)..that run perfectly!....HELP please!

PS: the internet radio app works fine!.......but spbtv and Youtube didn't work

do you try youtube over wifi or gprs ?

of course I tried over wifi .....it was working in the past but since the last july it don't!

so what happened last july ?

- did you upgrade phone firmware ?

- did you change cell provider ?

- did you change wifi ?

i have upgragaded the firm to V6.00 .....and to 7.16 last week!....but no Youtube
Could it be useragent problem or some like?

I have v6.00 on my x3-02 and it works just fine. could you explain in detail what happens when you choose the video link at m.youtube.com ?

after cliking on the video link:
-i have the pop message:do you want to go to: rtsp: //v5.cache4.c.youtube........
-then i click on YES and it launch nokia integrated (buit in) player
-i click on Play and it load video duration
-after wainting some seconds it return: No answer (reponse in french),try agai .

it's incredible to true that throught my neighbour's box it run well!!! .his provider for internet is different of mine!

sounds like the wifi access point is blocking the streaming.

I think too;but my brother's nokia e71 works fine with Youtube with the same box!! .....Do you have a specefic process to have a good manual configuration for WLAN acess point to being Youtube freindly PLEASE ?...thx a lot

Series40 supports the mobile youtube. I don't know what Symbian devices use.

There has been some discussions in this forum and elsewhere that opening some ports in the WiFi box could help. Haven't had that problem on my box/places where I have used so dont have 1st hand experience on solving those

it's so paradoxal how it was working well before (few months ago!) but now there here a big issue!!!!...

Thanks to God and Alhamdolilah ,
You have to configure udp settings in the mobile: my streaming >>udp setting>>1024-1028 there was the center of the resolution of this isssue.
AND
I have finally resolved Ytube and also the issue of SPBTV byopening the following ports in my router:

name:Youtube out ports: 1024-2024 Destination ports: 1024-2024   type: UDP

name: SPBTV out ports :6970-6974 Destination ports: 1024-1028.  ..... the range of 4 ports isvery important to resolve this big issue!!!   type of ports: UDP

Now i have a minor problem: i have to try by 3 succesiv times to reach to play any video in Ytube and any channel in SPBTV!!!!!!!
