hi,

i have a problem with my X6...since my last update...the camera flash is not working..even that red light it makes when taking a picture or a video..i restored the factory settings but still..it isnt working..Moreover, sometimes the mobile gives the message tone sounds when there are no received messages. can somebody please give me a suggestion of what to do?

Check for the flash settings under the Camera settings / Options.. Regarding the message beeps, did you check SIM Messages ?

yes i checked the settings but still, its not working... i even  restored the camera settings and still

These may be some Warning Tones also. Not sure whether it gives similar tone on receiving a Delivery Report on this device..Just check that too.

As for the Flash issue, you may try Updating / Re-installing the firmware...else get the device checked at Nokia Care for some Hardware issue...

how can i update the firmare or re-install it? sorry im not such a genius in these things

Download the latest version ov OVI Suite from..

http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-ovi-suite

and install on your PC (..Presumably you are a Windows user..)

Fully charge your Phone and then Connect the phone to PC using the USB Cable..

Open the OVI suite..

Goto Tools -->Backup and Back-up all your data on the PC.

Now, Goto Tools -->Software Updates...It will display whether any update is available (..else, will give an option to Re-install). Select the appropriate and let the process continue.

Note that the phone will switch OFF and ON on its own during the process. Ignore all the warnings on the screen (.. even the one that tells the phone is disconnected..) and wait. Disconnect the phone only after it tells you that the process is complete and switches ON for the final time. Do not disconnect inbetween physically, else the phone may go dead and will need a firmware flashing at Nokia Care..

If you have any reservations, visit Nokia Care for the real issue and they will also do the firmware thing for you. but before taking it to Nokia care, atleast take Back-up as mentioned above. Because most probably, any action taken by the Care centre may wipe all data from the phone...
